THE EDELRID EDDY
Eddy, If you have not yet used Edelrids revolutionary new belay device then perhaps it’s time that you did. Developed with total safety in mind the Eddy will hold the load of a falling climber in the ‘hands off’ mode and additionally when the control handle is grabbed and held tight. This dual locking function ensures that the device can be used by relatively in-experienced belayers (although of course a sound knowledge of belaying should be a pre-requisite of any belayer) and not fail to operate when ‘panic grabbed’ in the event of a fall like some of it’s competitors.The Eddy operates on ropes from 9.0mm to 11.4mm. |
